ZMA is one of the most researched supplements out there. There's so many garbage supplements without any good studies that are huge sellers, but has no effect. The thing about ZMA is that it is well researced. Studies show that it's indeed a natural testosterone booster [1,2], it increased strength, endurance [1,4] and recovery [4].
That's not the only thing about ZMA. The combination of zinc, magnesium and vitamin b-6 can also increase IGF-1 [3] and decrease cortisol levels [5] - making ZMA a great anti-catabolic supplement.
